A copepod infestation is in full swing! The Kokanee are covered in them. A copepod is basically a tick for a fish. It sticks to the skin and sucks nutrients from the fish. This causes stunted growth, lethargic behavior as well as major skin irritation and excess slime.
I still have been running trips with full disclosure to my clients and for the most part, been catching plenty of fish. They have been deep and holding close to the bottom with early morning being the best time to hook up.
Expect to get a good number of fish. Check-in with me, but I see no reason why we won’t limit out with you going home with some really nice filets for the grill!
